With a day full of inspiration, honest dialogue, and powerful voices, the new network “Club der Macherinnen Touristik (powered by REISELAND)” has officially launched. The kick-off event at the Hotel Wilmina in Berlin provided a platform for 36 dedicated women to network, share experiences—and above all: to inspire courage.
“Women Who Inspire” – that was the motto of the kick-off event, which was deliberately held at a historic site: the former Wilmina women’s prison in Berlin-Charlottenburg. Now a stylish boutique hotel, it provided the perfect setting for a day dedicated to female strength, self-determination, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Real Stories, Honest Insights
The event focused on the personal journeys, challenges, and successes of women in the tourism industry. Through panel discussions, talks, and “Women Who Make It Happen” stories, renowned industry experts such as Uta Martens (DERTOUR), Katrin Rieger (HanseMerkur), Sabine Jordan-Glaab (vtours), Tina Kirfel (KITICON), and Janka Morgenroth (Chamäleon) provided insights into their daily professional lives and discussed equal opportunity, leadership responsibilities, and work-life balance.
“For me, female empowerment is a key issue for our industry and our company to remain successful in the future,” emphasized Katrin Rieger. And Tina Kirfel added: “I love supporting women and encouraging them to become aware of their strengths. Every network that brings women together is important.”

Outlook:, Inspiration & Women Leaders’ Journey
The energy of the opening day demonstrated just how great the need for such a network is. “There was a sincere, open exchange in a safe environment—with many new connections,” said Anna Schwingenschlögl. The response from the industry was also overwhelming. Verena Großjohann summed it up: “A network is emerging here that not only connects women but empowers them.” No wonder, then, that many more women leaders have since reached out to join the network.
The next event is already planned. Additionally, online initiatives and a dedicated women leaders’ journey are in the works. The ideas are plentiful—and the enthusiasm of the organizers is contagious.
Or, as Nadja Albrecht from FOR FAMILY REISEN put it: “Aren’t there already enough women’s networks? Today, the answer was quite clear: No!”
